Sujeong (Su-Jung) Shin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who provides individual counseling to adults, couples, and adolescents (14+).
Sujeong has experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, work stress, grief and loss, and relationship issues. Her work is informed by several relationally and emotionally focused therapy models, and by mindfulness and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). For many of her clients, EMDR treatment has led to rapid and permanent change around issues they thought they could never resolve.
Born and raised in New England, Sujeong received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston University and her undergraduate degree from Yale University. For more than 30 years, Sujeong worked as a communications writer and creative director in both non-profit and corporate settings. She brings a wide variety of professional, life, and clinical experiences to her vocation as a therapist.
